With recent outstanding performances at East & West Coast Blues Festivals, Good Vibrations and an upcoming slot on the Splendour in the Grass bill, Tijuana Cartel’s non stop touring is beginning to pay admirable dividends and raise their national profile to an exciting level.
The secret to the success of Tijuana Cartel is how they turn an utterly unique blend of flamenco, percussion, trumpet, beats, breaks, positivity and pulsing global rhythms into a uniting and exciting musical force.
Tijuana Cartel delivers a perfect marriage of lustful rhythms and upfront electronica. They are inspired by everything the musical world has to offer, from Funk to Hip Hop to Reggae to the Middle Eastern flavours of the Sub Continent to the dance venues of London, and it is this fusion that creates the unique earthly musical energies that encaptures all those that come before them.
This eclectic collection of traveling musicians and their myriad of personal influences gives Tijuana Cartel their distinctive sound, and it is their infectious & inspiring onstage performances that are earning them the highest accolades from audiences all over our fair land and beyond.
Tijuana Cartel returns to WA for their most ambitious tour to date. Releasing their high vibrational dance music to new audiences in Broome, Dampier, Geraldton & a tour highlight show at the Metropolis in Fremantle.
The Tijuana Cartel Tour will see them launch their newest musical escapade – a 6 song EP "White Dove" recorded and mixed in Australia with New York Based producer Chris Moore (Midnight Juggernauts, Yeah Yeah Yeahs).
"It's heavier musically than our previous releases with more vocally driven tracks and deeper arrangements, but it still contains those reflective Tijuana elements with Latin Guitar, Afro Cuban Percussion, Trumpet and infectious Electronic Dance Beats and noises that dominate the previous releases and live show” says Guitarist & Vocalist Paul George.
"We will be presenting a lot of these songs for the first time live on our WA tour and we're looking forward to seeing the reaction." says Carey O'Sullivan, the engineer behind the electronic side to the Tijuana Cartel Dance Machine. “We are excited to have such an opportunity to launch this EP in WA and have been working hard to produce a show to new and old fans alike that will offer a new level of hi energy and up tempo Dance music. “

Why don’t we let the squires at Metal Hammer begin our introduction to the phenomenon that is ALEXISONFIRE and their latest album ‘Old Crows Young Cardinals’; “A dense and beautiful heavy rock album with as many hardcore influences as progressive ones: rewarding and utterly gripping”
With the release of the brilliant album ‘Crisis’ in 2006 and 2004’s ‘Watch Out!’, who would have thought ALEXISONFIRE would not only match the success of their previous efforts but ultimately smash all pre conceptions and tear them to shreds! “This is one of the best bands currently making music, and if you’re late in finding out, there’s plenty of room left on that train” – Punk News
To truly appreciate the raw intensity and passion of ALEXISONFIRE, they need to be seen to be believed; “They put on a passionate, crowd-destroying show still unrivalled by anyone” – Caught In The Crossfire
In news that will have their legions of fans salivating, ALEXISONFIRE have announced a full Australian tour throughout October.

Paul Weller - one of England’s most influential and iconic musicians and songwriters – embarks on a national Australian tour this October.
Fans had waited more than 20 years for Paul Weller’s long-overdue, highly acclaimed and sold-out 2008 tour. Two years on, Weller returns to bring his Wake Up The Nation tour to an eagerly awaiting audience.
Tickets for the Modfather’s October tour will go on sale on Friday April 23rd. On the same day Weller delivers his 10th solo album, Wake Up The Nation (Universal Music). Described as “the sound of Weller wide awake, ready to take the world on again,” the 14-track offering is already drawing rave reviews as Weller’s best to date, and includes two tracks featuring The Jam bassist Bruce Foxton.
Tickets purchased before Friday April 23rd – during the pre-sale running from noon on Friday April 16th to 5pm Thursday April 22nd - will receive a priority download of the new album Wake Up The Nation included in the ticket price.
Three lucky Weller fans who book during the pre-sale will also go into the draw to win Paul Weller back catalogue prizes including the deluxe Wild Wood, deluxe Wake Up The Nation, Just A Dream DVD and Hit Parade greatest hits album, courtesy of Universal Music Australia.
As leader singer of The Jam, Paul Weller fronted the most popular and influential British band of the era. Between their 1977 debut single release In The City to their break-up in 1982 The Jam charted 18 consecutive Top 40 singles in the UK, including four #1 hits – Going Underground, Start, Town Called Malice and their last single release Beat Surrender.
Teaming up with Mick Talbot, Weller formed The Style Council in 1983, releasing diverse hit singles such as Speak Like A Child, Money Go Round, My Ever Changing Moods, Shout To The Top, Walls Come Tumbling Down, Long Hot Summer and Have You Ever Had It Blue.
After the demise of The Style Council in 1989, Weller later returned to prominence with critically acclaimed and popular solo albums – 1993’s Wild Wood and 1995’s Stanley Road – and more recently 2008’s 22 Dreams.
Weller returns to the stage, as he did in 2008, with band members guitarist Steve Cradock, bassist Andy Lewis, drummer Steve Pilgrim and Andy Crofts on keyboard.
Don’t miss the cool swagger and fervent rock ‘n’ roll of Paul Weller!
